Sugar maple

Sugar maple is known for its quality wood and abundant sugar. It favors well-drained, moist, fertile soil. It is sensitive to heat stress and drought and requires a lot of water. Sugar maples reach a height of 60 to 75 feet in cultivation but can reach up to 120 feet in the wild.
