Giant goldenrod

Solidago gigantea

Giant goldenrod

This perennial wildflower is 3 to 7 feet tall and largely unbranched, except at the apex, where the flowering stalks occur. Giant goldenrod prefers full sun to partial shade and wet to moist soil conditions. The nectar and pollen of the flowerheads attracts many pollinators and other beneficial insects.
