Schip laurel

Schip laurel is an attractive, upright evergreen with stalks of fragrant white flowers that appear in the spring. It does best in filtered sun or partial shade and fertile, moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. It reaches 6 to 10 feet in height with a similar spread in 10 years.
