White false indigo

White false indigo is a marvel among prairie plants. Its growth cycle begins in spring when a slander purple stem emerges from the ground. By late June it has transformed into a beautiful, flowering perennial. It prefers clay, loamy, or sandy moist soils. They can grow up to 3 to 5 feet tall.
