Ohio buckeye
Aesculus glabra
Ohio buckeye greens up early in spring and has attractive flowers in early to mid-May. It prefers moist, deep, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and can be grown in full sun or partial shade. Ohio buckeye averages 20 to 40 feet tall with a similar width, although it can reach a height of 80 feet.
